Robert Williams Chambers est un écrivain américain né en 1865 à Broadalbin (état de New York), mort en 1933 à New York. Célèbre à son époque comme auteur de romans-feuilletons et de best-sellers, il n'est plus connu aujourd'hui que comme un des grands noms de la nouvelle fantastique.
